The iLAND Symposium will pursue issues emanating from creative collaborations across New York City that are actively designing new relationships to public space. A keynote address by the seminal landscape artist Mary Miss will address collaboration through the “City as Living Lab” project. Presentations and a panel by choreographer Jennifer Monson, iLAB residency artists of Strataspore and the New School's sTEM project will conclude Friday's event.
Saturday morning will feature hands-on workshops out in the urban environment followed by lunch and an extended exchange of experience and ideas among all participants.
Presenters include: sculptor, Mary Miss, iLAND founder and artistic director Jennifer Monson, previous iLAB residents Chris Kennedy, Athena Kokoronis, Caroline Woolard, Kate Cahill, Gary Lincoff, and New School professors Timon McPhearson and Philip Silva.
