iLAND Symposiums

The annual iLAND symposium is an open forum for exploring new methods of understanding urban ecosystems through innovative collaborations between practitioners of movement, dance, science, and environmental research and planning. Presenters share the results of grappling with finding shared language and processes across the arts and sciences, while centering dance and the body as the mediator and resource for experience, imagination and knowing. The symposia include panels, keynotes, media presentations, field trips, workshops, performances and small-group discussions.
