Dear iLANDers,
In celebration of iLAND’s 10th anniversary, the 2014 iLAB residency will take on an experimental format as a series of workshops/laboratories designed by members of the iLAND community. These workshops are envisioned as focused forums and platforms for a reflective, advanced discourse on ideas about urban ecologies, kinesthetic experience, and new approaches to interdisciplinary creative processes as cultivated throughout 8 years of the iLAB Residency Program.
This Request for Proposals is open to all past iLAB residents, applicants, and symposium participants. New combinations of collaborators introduced through iLAND events and partnerships with outside institutions or venues are welcomed. Laboratories may take on any structure (a forum, workshop, walk, charette, tour, discussion, performance, potluck, experiment…), and any period of time (two hours, two days, a month of Sundays…).
We hope these workshops will provide an opportunity for you to share your current work and interests as well as to revisit and expand upon ideas initially explored through past iLAB Residencies and iLAND Symposiums.
Please note that this year’s Laboratories are happening in conjunction with a Movement Research Studies Project on Sustainability on Tuesday, Nov. 5th and with the Movement Research Spring Festival, which iLAND is serving as one of the curators. The annual iLAND Symposium will be held in conjunction with the Movement Research Spring Festival as a series of workshops, presentations, and discussions. More information about the upcoming Studies Project is available HERE.
